If you’ve strolled around the West Chester borough, you’d be lying if you said you didn’t want to take a peek into those beautiful private gardens you see along the way. On Saturday, September 9, participate in Barclay Friends’ Annual Secret Garden Tour and you can see all of the hidden gems of the borough.

Secret Gardens of West Chester

Enjoy a walking tour of privately owned gardens in Barclay Friends’ own neighborhood, from East Marshall Street North to Goshen Road and from High Street East to the Marshall Drive neighborhood. The tour will include a stunning array of personal retreats tended to for years. While you’re in the gardens, enjoy live music and work from local artists.

And after the tour, while you’re feeling inspired by the secret gardens of West Chester, visit the Barclay Friends’ upper parking lot to peruse the sale of distinctive plants, including yarrow, anemone, coreopsis, ornamental grasses and sedges, coral bells, black-eyed Susans and much more. The sale will be going on from 10 a.m.–3 p.m, and all proceeds support Barclay Friends’ Horticultural Therapy Program.

Reserve your spot for a beautiful tour of the gardens of West Chester! Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the tour. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be issued for tickets. Please note, the tour will be held rain our shine.
