Coming Soon to Lancaster: Harvest Moon Bagel Co. Brick & Mortar

Something new and oh so tasty is coming to Lancaster city this summer: a storefront for Harvest Moon Bagel Co.!

With plenty of donuts, ice cream and coffee flooding the shops in Lancaster, it’s about time downtown added a savory flair to the mix.

Owner Chelsea Zawisa has officially signed the lease on her new shop on N. Queen St. — the exact location will be announced soon — and Zawisa is ready to serve Lancaster City handmade bagels.

“All of our customers tell us we need a bagel shop in Lancaster. We’ve worked hard to travel to sell our bagels, and we thought it was time to have a home base where we can do more in one spot,” says Zawisa.

Though construction hasn’t started on the space quite yet, the location already has a bakery in it, so the majority of the construction will be cosmetic. For instance, the space is a bit outdated, so there will be a remodel in the front end. Zawisa will also be adding a new counter for service, a few tables and chairs, and also some bar seating.

The menu will include bagels with cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches, as well as drinks on tap, coffee and a rotating selection of cold brew coffee. And, while store hours aren’t set in stone, Zawisa is considering being open 7 days a week from 6:30 a.m.–2 p.m.

For those used to picking up Harvest Moon Bagels in Lancaster already, they will still be available at Square One Coffee and Commonwealth. Harvest Moon will be also be at Lancaster East Side Market on June 3, 10 and 24 for all of your bagel needs.
