Further proof that there can never be too much awesome fried chicken in one city: Hatch & Coop, a self-described “chicken and egg joint,” is celebrating its grand opening on Friday, June 29. This brand new spot in Midtown Village was the former storefront of Jake’s Sandwich Board, and the same owners have reimagined the space as a fast casual fried chicken spot. Unsurprisingly, crazy-good sandwiches are still a major menu feature.

With a commitment to all-natural, antibiotic-free and local chicken, Hatch & Coop is all about “fast food you can feel good about,” according to its website. The menu (WARNING: do not read or click through if you are hungry) spans breakfast through dinner, starting with egg sandwiches — available all day — pickle juice-brined and fried-to-order chicken sandwiches, a handful of vegetable-based dishes and sides, like house-cut curly fries and fried pickles. Nothing on the menu weighs in at over $8, making this a very economic and appealing a.m. or p.m. stop during your busy day.
Stop by on Friday, June 29, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. for Hatch & Coop’s grand opening celebration and get a free order of fries and a beverage with any sandwich order. Otherwise, hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m.–9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
